Come on, Barbie, Let's Go to a Bachelorette Party

Updated: Aug 18, 2023

Margot Robbie as Barbie

Confession time: I have seen the Barbie movie twice already. I loved it so much the first time that I bribed my 13-year-old son with a new lacrosse stick to go with me to see it again. Going with a child was less weird, at least in my mind. After seeing this near-perfect movie, I couldn't get the incredible set design out of my mind. Barbieland is the ideal spot to soak up some feminine energy. While you can't go to Barbieland, you can party the night away with your Bride Tribe in these unique Barbie-inspired destinations. Come on, Barbie, let's go (to a Bachelorette) party.

Perfect Bachelorette Destinations to Channel Your Inner Barbie Girl

Malibu, CA

Malibu is the ultimate spot for glamourous Barbie girls to bond with their besties. It offers something for everyone with luxurious beachfront bungalows, gorgeous beaches, plunging canyons, and superb surfing. A-list celebrities flock to Malibu for its secluded and tranquil nature. It's undoubtedly a terrific destination for a relaxing vacation.

Harbour Island, Bahamas

Famous Pink Sand Beach lies on Harbour Island. Spend your bachelorette getting your beach on. Stay at the Pink Sands Resorts if you want to up the Barbie factor. Soak up the rays with pink adult beverages. This a fabulous destination to relax and unwind with your friends. Who can resist that light pink sand?

San Diego, CA

While rollerblading down Venice Beach as Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling did in the Barbie movie, San Diego possesses more of a Barbie vibe than Los Angeles. You may even spot some pink murals outside Pigment or Native Poppy as you stroll, so always be Insta-ready. Stay at the adorable pink La Valencia Hotel and start your days with a stop at The Pink Rose Cafe.

Paris, France

What Barbie girl worth her salt doesn't adore Paris? You will spend your days shopping, strolling through Montmartre (lots of pink and pastel buildings there), and dining at the most incredible restaurants in the world. I won't tell if you go dress shopping; you have a pretty special day on the horizon.

Palm Springs, CA

Everyone should have Palm Springs with their Midge on their Barbie-themed bucket list. Imagine sipping yummy pink smoothies while lounging in your bright pink swimwear by the pool. Choose to stay at the Trixie Motel if Barbiecore is your dream trip. Trixie Mattel, the hilarious Barbiecore drag queen (watch her Youtube channel, it won't disappoint), built this brand-new, bright pink hotel. You’ll think you are staying in Barbie’s dream home.

Perfect Pink Hotels for Your Barbie Bride Tribe

Nicknamed the "Pink Palace of the Pacific," this iconic Waikiki resort has been a Barbie haven since the 1960s. Its style evokes a bygone era, but plenty of modern luxuries exist. Located in the heart of Waikiki, if you want to enjoy everything that Waikiki has to offer while staying in one of the most famous resorts Hawaii offers, this is the place for you.

I love Cobblers Cove; it is my favorite resort in Barbados. Located on Barbados' tranquil west coast, the charming hotel is a 7-10 minute walk from Speightstown, now home to a brand new luxury marina. Each 40 spacious and luxurious suites has a sitting area with a balcony.

Located at the base of Table Mountain, Belmond Mount Nelson is one of South Africa’s most luxurious and memorable destinations. First painted pink in 1918 as a form of celebration for the end of World War I, it now has its own custom-crafted signature paint color, so it fades to a specific tint between coats.

Channel your Barbie at the "Pink Palace," AKA The Beverly Hills Hotel. The enchanting hotel in the 90210 is a celebrity hotspot and is as iconic as Barbie herself. Unwind at the Polo Lounge or sunbathe by the pool. Barbie heads to the Beverly Hills Hotel when she wants to play with her A-list friends.

With rose pink pressed earth walls and luxe, Moorish architecture, Amanjena lives up to its name, “peaceful paradise.” There are shadowed courtyards, fountains, and vaulted ceilings, and each ample guest room has a pavilion with its garden and gazebo.

A historic hotspot, the Hamilton Princess, opened its doors in 1885. Dubbed “The Pink Palace,” the 410-room Hamilton Harbour-adjacent property now offers extravagant amenities like a private beach, a full-service spa, and an upscale steak, seafood, and raw bar restaurant supervised by chef Antwan Ellis.

Have you seen Barbie? Did you love it as much as I did? You and your besties deserve a bachelorette trip worthy of Barbie! So head to one of these destinations or hotels and pretend it's Barbieland. So come on, Barbie, let's go...vacay!
