My favorite actress is Reese Witherspoon. I'm not going to tell you how you how many times I have seen 'Legally Blonde'. I also won't mention how excited I am about 'Legally Blonde 3'! Yes, I have seen every one of her movies. To say the least, I am a fan. I'm not a crazy fan...usually. But I will be there opening day when Elle Woods returns to theaters!

Reese married talent agent, Jim Toth, in 2011. Along with Reese's 2 children from her first marriage, they did a familymoon in Belize. (More on that trip in a future blog.) After Belize, Jim and Reese jetted off to Positano for honeymoon at the lovely Le Sirenuse. You don't have to be an Oscar-winning actress to honeymoon at Le Sirenuse! You can Honeymoon Like Reese Witherspoon.

Overview of the Le Sirenuse

Overlooking the bay in the heart of Positano is the sensational Le Sirenuse Hotel. The resort is poised 230 feet above the sea. Experience incomparable views of the bay! About 30 miles away from Naples, Le Sirenuse is easily accessible via private car from Naples.

Until 1951, Le Sirenuse was a private family home. The four Sersale siblings (Paolo, Franco, Aldo and Anna) decided to turn their summer home into a boutique hotel. And aren't we all glad they did! Today, this endearing 58-room hotel is considered one of the best hotels in Italy.

Offered at Le Sirenuse

Le Sirenuse isn't just a hotel. It's a family run lifestyle brand! Franco's son Antonio manages the day-to-day operations of the hotel. While his wife, Carla, designs the beach wear, Le Sirenuse Positano Mare Collection. Her designs are inspired by Positano itself. The collection is sold at boutique in the hotel, and in select high-end stores throughout the world. Marina, Paolo's daughter, created a fragrance and skin care line, called Eau d'Italie. Guests of Le Sirenuse can truly immerse themselves in the luxury Mediterranean lifestyle.

Dining at Le Sirenuse

This boutique hotel has plenty of authentic and delicious eateries on site. Le Sirenuse even has a Michelin starred restaurant!

La Sponda

La Sponda is a Mediterranean restaurant. The dishes are based on fresh local ingredients. Rising culinary star, Gennaro Russo, is the executive chef. This Michelin starred restaurant is a must do for anyone that goes to Positano, even if you aren't staying at Le Sirenuse!

Champagne Bar & Grill

Needing a romantic place with a breathtaking view of Positano to grab a cocktail? Look no further than Champagne Bar & Grill. Allow the view seduce you into staying long enough to sample the mouth-watering delicacies.

Pool Bar & Restaurant

Located on the pool terrace and surrounded by lemon trees and fragrant flowers, the Pool Bar & Restaurant is the perfect place to have lunch.

Franco's Bar

Franco's Bar offers a panoramic al fresco terrace. Perfect place to people watch while imbibing in adult beverages.

Rooms at Le Sirenuse

Each of the 58-rooms at Le Sirenuse is unique. They are decorated with antique and contemporary furnishings. And breakfast is included daily. The rooms range from 280 to 1184 square feet. Note that the smallest room, Inner Courtyard, doesn't have a terrace.

Jessie's Room Tips

I highly recommend choosing a room with a sea-view. The views from Le Sirenuse are arresting. Every room except the Inner Courtyard and Pool Terrace have sea views. Imagine waking up and eating your breakfast on your private terrace as you watch the azure waves breaking on the shore below!

Adventures in Positano

Positano is one of the most romantic destinations in the world. Honeymooners who want old world charm, delectable dishes and romanticism will be thrilled. Perfect for relaxing and unwinding, but there is plenty to do and see in Positano. Boredom is never an issue.

Pompeii & Wine

Step back in time to the year 79 AD, when Mt Vesuvius erupted burying Pompeii in ash. Because they have been frozen for eternity, you will glimpse everyday life of the residents. After immersing yourself in history, enjoy the a wine tasting at one of the amazing wineries at foot of Mt Vesuvius.

Take to the Mediterranean Sea

Capri is always a good idea! Cruise from Positano to Capri in a speedboat. You have all day, so take you time. Stop at picturesque coves to snorkel. When you arrive in Capri, stroll the streets of the 'Island of Love'. Absolutely, visit the Blue Grotto. End your day trip to Capri with an early dinner at Da Paolina (Lemon Trees) Restaurant.

Photo shoot on the Beach

Positano is stunning! It is the perfect place to have a post wedding photo shoot. Yes, I know you just had a bunch of pictures taken at your wedding, but you definitely want some professional shots of you playing on the beach.

Don't wait until the Academy finally recognizes your brilliance and awards you a Best Actress Oscar. Go to Le Sirenuse Positano now! It is a wonderfully romantic. You can (and should) honeymoon like Reese Witherspoon at Le Sirenuse.
